Audio Recorder Titanium is a comprehensive audio capturing and editing tool for Windows that will allow you to capture any sound passing through your sound card and save it in WAV, MP3, Ogg, or WMA. It includes a complete sound editor to help you clean, cut, and trim your audio recordings, as well as add interesting sound effects.
The main window offers a small capturing interface which allows you to start recording right away. From there you can select the output format and directory, and those are basically all the adjustments you need to make before pushing the big red button and start recording. The program, however, offers you much more than that. Once the recording has finished, you can launch the program's built-in editor and retouch your sound file. Its graphic waveform allows easy and precise cutting, pasting, cropping, mixing, and trimming of the audio tracks. Its versatile editing capabilities will help you easily digitize, for instance, your analog music collection. The editor includes both generic and specific cleaning options to allow you to get rid of most of the noises present in old analog recordings and media. Together with a more general noise reduction tool, the program includes specific options to reduce “voice breath” and “cassette” background noises.
This editing tool also incorporates a long list of audio effects to enhance and personalize your audio recordings. The list ranges from the basic fade-in and fade-out options, to more sophisticated echo, chorus, vibrato, reverb, speed and pitch change capabilities. Finally, to fine-tune your recordings, the program also offers extensive equalization and filtering functionalities. The graphic nature of this editor, the precise timing of the selected sections (down to the millisecond), together with the zooming possibilities, allow any type of user to create their own sound recordings quickly, efficiently, and without the hassle of more professional and more complicated applications.
